Ken Ferrell became a PGA member in 1988 after playing golf professionally in America, Europe and Mexico. He worked at Yorba Linda Country Club and Big Canyon Country Club in Southern California, and in 1989 became the PGA general manager/director of golf at Tustin Ranch Golf Club.
In 1992, Ferrell co-founded Team Golf, Inc., a company dedicated to consulting and managing golf properties. Team Golf, Inc. participated in more than twenty projects including the opening and management of numerous golf learning centers. Ferrell was hired by American Golf Corporation in 1997 as head golf professional of Dove Canyon Country Club. Starting in 2000, Ferrell became the director of golf at the Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, Calif., where he was responsible for all golf education programs. He also served as a career counselor and placement director.
Ferrell served on the Southern California PGA Section Board of Directors in 2008-2009 as co-chair for the Education Committee. He was named the Southern California PGA Section and Inland Valley Chapter Horton Smith Award winner in 2008.
Ferrell joined the Employment Services Department as a Consultant in October 2009. |
