Golf courses offer great possibilities for summer and part-time jobs. You might be able to help out in the golf shop, stage golf cars, work in the club storage area, or even learn how to caddie.

For juniors, a golf course is a great place to gain summer or part-time employment. It's also an excellent place to see whether you might be interested in pursuing a long-term career as a PGA Professional or elsewhere in the golf industry.

With a summer or part-time job at a golf course, responsibilities may include assisting customers with their clubs, helping out in the golf shop, staging and parking golf cars, or picking up range balls. You also might be able to work as a valet or help out in the locker room or club storage area, or even learn to be a caddie.

There is no better environment for a junior to spend time. Besides providing a venue to improve your golf game, golf course employment allows you to learn values from the camaraderie, etiquette and sportsmanship that the game offers. Note: wage and hour regulations may apply to those under the age of 18.

If you are a high school or college student interested in exploring a career in the golf industry, you might want to explore these options:
