"When I was a senior in high school, I applied to numerous universities trying to find that perfect fit. I looked at a variety of majors until I finally discovered the PGA Golf Management University Program. The program was that "perfect fit," and Mississippi State University played a large part. The history the university has in the PGA Golf Management University Program (second oldest program), and the extensive network of graduates all over the world, gave me the confidence I needed to know that it was the right place for me. The PGA Golf Management University Program is a great opportunity for individuals who love the game of golf, and want to continue to spread and grow the game. For me it has also been a very maturing, and eye-opening experience. The 16 months of internship experience gives us the chance to get our feet wet in the real world, while still being a college student. The PGA Golf Management University Program has allowed me to learn and grow as both an individual and a professional. I genuinely know the hard work I continue to put in at Mississippi State University will allow me to succeed in all my endeavors when I graduate."

"The PGA Golf Management University Program has put meaning into my college career. Our student club is like a family; we all know each other and spend a lot of time together - in the classroom, at the golf course, and away from the work. Going through the PGA course work is very strenuous. However, you receive help through internships and other resources. The people that I have met and the experiences that I've had are beyond what I imagined upon first entering the program. To become a college graduate and a PGA member in four and a half years provides countless opportunities. I see faces light up when I tell them I am a PGA Golf Management major. I know that I am involved in something special."

"The PGA Golf Management University Program at Penn State University has helped me develop as an individual and professional. I have been able to refine my leadership skills as a member of the Executive Board, serving as Secretary, Vice President, and President; improve my golf game through our tournament series; and most importantly, gain valuable industry experience through internships. One of the greatest assets of the PGA Golf Management University Program is the incredible network for students. This network has helped me secure internships at North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, N.Y., Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, Calif., The Masters Tournament at Augusta (Ga.) National Golf Club, and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y., where I will begin my career as an Assistant Golf Professional. I attribute all of my success in the golf industry to the experiences that have been made available to me through the PGA Golf Management University Program at Penn State."

"During high school, I was recruited to play golf for Sam Houston State University. I began my career as a nursing major, but quickly learned it wasn't what I wanted to do. I heard about the accreditation of the PGA Professional Golf Management Program, and immediately enrolled. It was the best thing that could have happened to me. We have a Student Association that meets regularly, along with monthly tournaments conducted by the students. My experiences and what I have learned through the program will lead me to an outstanding career in the golf business. We are provided the opportunity for internships at facilities nationwide, and I have already been offered a position in the TPC network. The direction we receive through The PGA of America’s three levels of work is second to none. We are guided through each book and provided with deadlines that require us to keep on track. I recently passed my Level One checkpoint. Since joining the program, I have met hundreds of PGA Golf Management students from other universities while attending the PGA of America’s Leadership Conference and the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show. I have been given these opportunities because of my hard work and dedication to the program. When I graduate, I will have earned a General Business Administration degree and I will be a Class "A" PGA Professional. With that, I will be able to pass along my knowledge of the game to others and give back to the game."

"As someone who picked up golf relatively late for a junior (age 13), I would have never thought that I would have experienced so many wonderful opportunities within the golf industry. I grew up in Oakland, Calif., where I played a lot of competitive golf for both my high school and other junior golf tours around the state and country. In high school, I had no clue that I could have a future in the golf industry. I did not know that the PGA Golf Management University Program existed. I was unaware that you could combine the game you love and business and make it into a career. That is exactly what I have done here at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas PGA Golf Management University Program. I have had opportunities to work at the 89th PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., as well as at locations nationwide for the PGA Junior Series. The PGA Golf Management University Program has allowed me to travel the country and meet prominent figures in the golf industry. Joining the UNLV PGA Golf Management University Program has been the best decision that I have made for my future."

"Ever since my first day golfing with my grandfather, I've always wanted to be around the golf course meeting new people and teaching kids. I love to play. I played four years of competitive golf in high school and I always had a dream to work with the PGA and USGA or play LPGA events. I chose to attend the NC State PGA Golf Management University Program because I knew that it would secure my first steps in moving closer to my life goals. The PGA Golf Management University Program at NC State provides each student with a well-defined, comprehensive internship experience that will facilitate exemplary professional capabilities in all facets of golf management. The sum total of experiences prepare students for professional work in the golf industry in the 21st century."

"I had the opportunity to do an internship at PGA of America Headquarters. Being able to spend the summer working at The PGA was an experience that I never imaged I would have when I first began at Clemson University in the PGA Golf Management University Program. Working at The PGA of America was a unique learning experience that I feel you cannot get in a classroom setting. The people that I met and the experiences I was able to have during my time at The PGA exposed me to so much, and it really has excited me for my career in the golf industry."
